Industry veteran brings years of proven experience to Luxcore

ATLANTA, GA, August 2, 2001 Richard B. Black, president and chief operating officer of Luxcore Networks Inc., today announced the appointment of William B. Fleck as vice president of human resources.

Mr. Fleck, with more than 18 years of human resources and management experience in private start-up as well as public fast-growth, high technology companies, will report to Mr. Black.

"Mr. Fleck brings to Luxcore solid expertise in the high-tech and human resources industry and further strengthens Luxcore's management team through his considerable stature in the high-tech arena," said Mr. Black. "We are confident that Mr. Fleck's perspective and diverse experience will be invaluable in helping to drive Luxcore's growth."

Mr. Fleck joins Luxcore Networks from CytRx Corporation, where he served as vice president of human resources since 1993. Recently, he was also chief operating officer of AgSpan, Inc., an Internet-based transaction and data management company where he was responsible for all day-to-day operations. Prior to this, Mr. Fleck held senior level human resources positions with KnowledgeWare, MCI WorldCom, Harris/3M and Harris Semiconductor (Intersil). Mr. Fleck holds an MBA in personnel administration and a bachelor's degree in international affairs, both from Florida State University.
